A Quick update on USA shipments due to the De Minimis Exemption ending on Aug 29, 2025
Quickly, the De Mimimis Exemption was an act which allowed items under $800 or less into the USA without tafiffs. This will be ending on Aug 29, 2025 with the introduction of new tariffs.
At Laminart Industries we have been working with USA Photographers since 2015. Not only have we built
business relationships with our Photographer friends, but in many ways and in many instances, we have been a “port in the storm” during this past decade.
This includes us printing subject matter other labs refuse to print, offering unique products no other print labs in the world offer, having stable price points year after year (including some items lowering in price on the last price list update), and helping photographers with payment plan options to get them through turbulent times.
We pride ourselves on not only providing top tier products and top tier services, but to have photographers be able to rely on our print lab for consistency, reliability, and most importantly trust.
That said, we want to give everyone in the USA who works with our lab piece of mind that Laminart Industries (and our shipping partners) will work together to cover 100% of these new tariff costs and not raise prices or pass along any cost to the our USA Photographers partners.
We feel that with the trust and confidence our lab has built over the last decade with USA Photographers this is an appropriate response to this new and turbulent situation.
Optimistically, we hopefully everything works out and by late August this situation is sorted and avoided
entirely, but we wanted to reach out today so that USA photographers can rest assured that there will be no interruption or additional fees added to their Laminart Industries’ products or orders.
We will assess things going into Fall 2025 and will update accordingly in the new year, if necessary.
